Lychee has white, translucent flesh and a flavour that is sweet and floral at the same time – many detect a note of rose or grape in it. It brings hardly any acidity, so in tobacco it comes across perfumed and bright.
The combinations are widely spread and each is rare. Lemon and currant turn up most often and give the lychee the acidity it lacks. Single varieties combine it with strawberry, maracuja or an ice note with a cooling effect.
Power bowl
Between the phunnel and the multi-hole bowl stands the power bowl: several holes sit in the centre of the bowl on a somewhat raised area, and the tobacco is placed around it. As a result, the molasses does not drain away but stays in the reservoir. You will find lychee varieties from brands including Musthave, Darkside, Element Tobacco, hookahSqueeze and Aino.
