Base tobacco and cut
Darkside Core is based on burley as a Dark Blend. A small share of Virginia is added. The tobacco is moist and mixed with molasses. Stir it thoroughly before building so the molasses is evenly distributed again, and do not squeeze it out.
Bowl and heat
In the scene, Darkside is usually smoked in a phunnel with an HMD; a multi-hole bowl works too. In the phunnel the tobacco may be lightly pressed down; in the multi-hole bowl you fill it loosely and fluffy. The tobacco tolerates a lot of heat, but it tastes cleaner if you increase the temperature step by step. Start with little charcoal and only add more once the smoke column gets thinner.

Füllt sich gut
Beim Befüllen hängt nichts zusammen, das macht es angenehm.

Läuft in jedem Kopf
Beim ersten Öffnen wirkte alles frisch und gut gelagert. Ich habe seit rund vier Wochen verschiedene Aufsätze probiert, mit HMD klappt es bei mir am zuverlässigsten. Im Abgang bleibt es rund, ohne bitter zu werden!

Dark Blend passt
Als Dark Blend schmeckt die Sorte runder, als ich erwartte hatte. Mit dem Schnitt bin ich zufrieden, weder zu fein noch zu grob. Gegen Ende der Session wirkt die Süße etwas klebrig.
