Base tobacco and cut
Darkside Core is based on Burley as a Dark Blend. A small share of Virginia is added. The tobacco is moist and mixed with molasses. Stir it thoroughly before packing the bowl so the molasses spreads evenly again, and do not squeeze it.
Bowl and heat
In the scene, Darkside is usually packed into a Phunnel with a HMD; a multi-hole bowl works too. In a Phunnel the tobacco can be pressed in lightly; in a multi-hole bowl, fill it loosely and fluffy. The tobacco handles a lot of heat, but tastes cleaner if you build the heat up step by step. Start with little charcoal and only add more once the stem gets thinner.

Mit meiner Schwester lange gesessen, und hinten raus war immer noch Aroma da. Im Phunnel läuft die Sorte genauso gut wie im klassischen Tonkopf. Auch nach einem guten Monat bleibt im Mund ein ehrlicher Geschmack, ohne dieses Aufgesetzte, das manche Sorten haben. Mir persönlich isch die Sorte einen Tick zu süß.

erst mal klein :)
als jemand, der viele sorten durchprobiert hat, sehe ich das nüchtern. die kleine packung mit 100 g ist ideal, um eine neue sorte kennenzulernen. kein kunstaroma-gefühl, cranberry wirkt echt. zuletzt mit meiner freundin gemerkt: die letzte phase der session schmeckt nur noch nach wenig.

Good with reservations
Anyone opening the pack can tell straight away how aromatic it is. It genuinely tastes of cranberry, not just vaguely. Nicely sour, just as I’d imagined.
