On many bowls, white serves as the base on which other colours sit. The most frequent second colour is black, followed by blue, grey, brown and light blue. There are also plain white bowls, for example among some multi-hole models.
What a white surface shows
On white, every change is noticed first. If a fine network of cracks forms in the glaze, liquid can collect in it over time and stain the network. This has long been known with earthenware: old earthenware tableware often shows such staining in the crazing. It is not a fracture but a feature of the glaze.
- Material: White describes the colour. A bowl made of white clay is listed separately in the material filter.
- Accessories: Phunnel plugs and a packing board also come in white.
White bowls come from brands including Hookain, N!CE, Cosmo Bowl, Mira and Moze Shisha.
