As a flavour, apricot brings a velvety, orange stone-fruit note: sweet at the core, with a tart trace reminiscent of the fruit's skin. The range is small, and the fruit often does not stand alone in the name.
- Peach is the most frequent companion. Both are stone fruits, and together the profile comes across rounder and more fruit-forward.
- Candy pulls apricot towards the sweet side; now and then grapefruit, blood orange or guava are added as a tart or exotic counterpoint.
