- Flavour profile: Blackberry is darker and more bitter than raspberry or strawberry. Sweetness and an almost winey acidity balance each other, and at the edge there is a tannic note like the skin of ripe berries.
- Most frequent partners: Raspberry comes first, followed by blueberry, berry mix and currant. Blackberry therefore mostly appears among other berries and less often as a single fruit.
- Another combination: Strawberry brings a brighter, red sweetness to the dark blend.
Bowl and molasses
Besides the phunnel and the multi-hole bowl, there are hybrid designs such as the power bowl: several holes sit on a somewhat raised central area, around which you place the tobacco. Because the holes sit above the floor, the molasses stays in the reservoir. Blackberry varieties come from brands including Aino, Al Fakher, Moze Shisha, Sebero and Darkside.
