There is a large selection under 0.4 Ohm, from brands including Vaporesso, Geekvape, Aspire and VooPoo. Hardly any device is listed with this value alone. 0.6 and 0.8 Ohm are added most often, followed by 1.0 and 1.2 Ohm as well as 0.7 Ohm. Many models therefore cover a whole series of resistances with interchangeable heads or pods, and 0.4 Ohm is often the lowest of them.
What changes compared with 0.8 Ohm
If the resistance is halved from 0.8 to 0.4 Ohm, the device needs only around 70 per cent of the voltage for the same power. The current, in turn, rises by around 40 per cent. At an unchanged voltage, on the other hand, current and power both double.
The wattage intended for a head of 0.4 Ohm is set by its manufacturer. If you combine the resistance with the power filter, you are left with the devices that cover both.
