Lavart hookah bowls
With Lavart Hookah you will find two designs that make a difference in the setup: multi-hole heads such as the Spectra series and phunnel models such as Aurora. Every head is shaped and coloured by hand.

Multi-hole or phunnel: heads that suit your smoking behaviour
With a multi-hole head, air flows through several holes in the bottom directly through the tobacco. A phunnel keeps the molasses in the head with its raised centre hole and is therefore often the more relaxed choice with moister tobacco. Which shape suits better depends less on looks than on how you pack.
Hookain tip: On the Lavart multi-hole heads the holes are glazed separately and have a slightly protruding rim. As a result, molasses does not seep into the stem as easily as with comparable multi-hole heads.
Phunnel or multi-hole: what suits you?
- Multi-hole: Good for classic setups where you care about air distribution and free airflow. Clean packing matters so the holes in the bottom do not get clogged.
- Phunnel: Sensible if you work with moister tobacco or want an easy-care setup. The design helps keep molasses in the reservoir.
- Glaze: The Lavart phunnels have clean glazes and a very smooth surface.
| Design | Feature | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Multi-hole (Spectra) | direct airflow, hole edges glazed separately | classic head packing with loose tobacco |
| Phunnel (Aurora) | raised centre hole, molasses stays in the reservoir | moister tobacco and an easy-care setup |
How to get more out of the head
With the multi-hole head you should take care not to block the holes in the bottom with tobacco. Otherwise the airflow becomes needlessly sluggish. Packing loosely and evenly is more sensible here than dense stuffing.
With the phunnel, the fill height matters more: spread the tobacco loosely around the centre hole and pack to just below the rim so that enough distance to the attachment remains.
Important in both cases: let the head cool down after the session before cleaning it with water. Sharp temperature changes are generally not a good idea for heads.
What to look out for with Lavart
In this category you will find Lavart models in various versions and colour variants, such as Spectra or Aurora. If you are torn between several versions, decide first by design and only then by look. The shape influences your setup much more than the colour.
Because every head is shaped and coloured by hand, each piece is unique; colour gradient and glaze turn out slightly different on every head.
Choosing Lavart instead of trying blindly
If you are looking for a Lavart Hookah head, it is best to go by your habits: if you want to pack the classic way, look at the multi-hole models. If you want things more relaxed and cleaner to handle with moister blends, a phunnel is usually the more obvious choice.
If you do not know which head suits your setup, the Head Finder is a good place to start.
