Plum brings a dark, ripe fruit note to hookah tobacco: sweet in the flesh, tart at the skin, with a hint of dried fruit. That places it closer to fig and dark grape than to pale stone fruits such as peach.
No fixed pairing
Unlike many fruit values, there is no dominant partner here; every combination appears only occasionally. Fig and grape stay in the dark register, hibiscus adds a floral, tart note, and passion fruit and watermelon brighten the variety.
A note on the bowl: ceramic reacts sensitively to rapid changes in temperature. The outside heats up or cools down faster than the inside, and this creates stresses in the material. Brands with plum varieties include Musthave, Moze Shisha, Aino and Al Massiva Tobacco.
